It took me awhile to decide what to make for the door prizes for our Canal St. classes this week.  I finally decided on a gift box. I'm trying some different things in the Occasions Mini Catalog that I've not used before.  One of them is Side Notes.  They are die-cut tags and accents made from heavy-weight smooth paper.  The selection in the mini catalog coordinates with the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper. I've used both of these products on today's card.

Wow!  200 cards are cut and prepped for the Canal Street class for Thursday.  I couldn't believe it really was that many cards but then I did the math.  24 stampers in the morning class + 24 stampers in the afternoon class + 2 sample cards = 50 cards of each design x 4 card designs = 200 total cards.  No wonder I have a huge order for card stock every month!  Here's a quick peek at the cards

I have admired the work of Stampin' Up! Demo Kimberly Van Diepen since I attended convention in July 2010.  Kimberly was named the #1 demo that year and I started following her blog, Stampin by the Sea.  Back in early October she posted a gorgeous Christmas ornament.  She included directions for making the ornament in a Halloween version.  Check out her post HERE to see these amazing creations.

Here's another kind of fancy fold for a Christmas tree to embellish your cards.  I used the 3-1/2" Circle Die with my Big Shot to cut a piece of DSP.  After cutting the circle in half, you fold it over to make the tree.  I marked the other half piece to give you an idea of where to fold.

One of the cards that we made at my stamp clubs this month was a CASE from an adorable card made by Jan Tink.  You can see her card HERE.  The only thing I changed was the ribbon.  I left off the grosgrain ribbon and tied the quilted ribbon in a bow.  Then I added a link of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine with two Mini Jingle Bells. Here's the second card that we made at my clubs this month.  It features the Shaker Frames from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I gave the option of filling the shaker frame with either Mica Flakes or Silver Glass Glitter.  I think my favorite is the Mica Flakes.  They look more like snow to me but the Glass Glitter will "shake" more.  Of course, club gals always come up with great ideas and a

One of the Stampin' Up! demo's work that I really admire is Debra Burgin on her blog, Heartfelt Inkspiration.  For today's card I CASE'd her design seen HERE.  This card uses the set Cherish Friendship that I just received in my most recent order.  I changed the color of the ribbon, the matted card stock, and the sentiment.  Supplies (all Stampin' Up!) Today was the Fish Hawk stamp class once again.  We had a total of 28 stampers between the morning and afternoon classes.  Here are the cards we made. First are Carrie's two cards. And my two cards. Just a few things to catch up on.... 1.  All 75 Thanksgiving cards have been completed and delivered to the project chairman.  Whew!  Hopefully if I do this again next year I will know way in advance and can plan a project day with lots of stamping helpers.  Wouldn't that be fun? 2.  The Fish Hawk classes are so popular now we are expanding to morning and afternoon.  For the month of September

Even though I live in Florida, I feel like summer is coming to an end.  I received the cutest little flip-flop card from my friend Daryl a couple of weeks ago.  As soon as I saw it I just knew that my Stamp Club needed to make this card for August to celebrate the end of summer.  I shamefully copied this card exactly as Daryl had made it because I didn't see any way to improve on her darling card

Thanks to everyone that commented on the Thanksgiving cards.  Leah was right that the lady in charge of the project would pick card #1.  She didn't even hesitate.  She said, "They're all beautiful but I want this one."  It probably was the sentiment that swayed her in that direction. Remember when I said that I only bought a new butterfly stamp because I wanted to attempt a Michelle Zindorf card? Well, since I now own that stamp set I thought I should get it out and use it again.
