Last night we were invited to some friends house to play cards. Susie's birthday was Wednesday and we were supposed to go to lunch together that day but it ended up that she had to work and we didn't get to go. So, of course, I forgot about her birthday. I even saw her at church Wednesday night and still didn't remember. But my friend Lynn sent me an email the next day with the idea to have a surprise birthday party for Susie when we went to her house on Saturday night. Pretty crummy to have to host your own birthday party but I guess it's okay if it's a surprise.
