Making My Own Clear-Mount Stamps

I've posted before about how much I love the new clear-mount stamps from Stampin' Up! But I also bought some stamps that weren't available in clear-mount and came with the usual wood blocks. I wanted to use these stamps with my clear blocks too. So instead of mounting them on the wood blocks I adapted them for use with the clear blocks. Here's how I did this.

Punch each image out from the rubber.

Peel the backing off.

Take the clear sticker that is supposed to go on the wood block and put it directly on the foam from the stamp.

Cut the edges of the clear sticker away.

Brush Tombo Mono Multi glue over the top of the sticker.

You need to let this dry for several hours. I just left mine out overnight. I've bought a set of the DVD cases from Stampin' Up! that are identical to the ones that come with the new clear-mount stamps. I'm putting my new unmounted stamps in these. I can usually get at least two stamp sets per case.

The last thing I need to do is unmount my old stamps that have already been put on the wood blocks. I've seen a couple ideas for doing this so I'll be working on that once I get back to Florida.

I'm really loving the nice clean look and smaller storage area that I need for clear-mount stamps. What a great option!
