I'm Back

Monday, April 18, 2011  at 7:26 AM
Okay, just a slight detour from my blogging the last few days.  I think I promised on Thursday that I would post the cards from our Fish Hawk class on Friday morning.  I got a little side-tracked on Thursday afternoon.  Gary and I bought a new house here in The Villages.  I'm very excited because I will get to design a new stamp studio.  So we spent the weekend getting our villa ready to sell.  We will close on 5/16 and I'll bring you along on the journey to set up my new stamping space.

But now back to the original promise.  Here are the cards that we made at the Fish Hawk class last Thursday.  The first two are Carrie's designs.

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Set:  Plane & Simple
Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink:  Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, VersaMark
Accessories:  Clear Embossing Powder
Tools:  Stamping Sponge, Heat Tool

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Set:  Easter Blossoms
Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink:  Baja Breeze
Accessories:  Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon
Tools:  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine

The last two are my cards.  We had lots of version of this first card as I put out lots of card stock buttons that had been cut using a sizzlet and an embosslit as well as several punches to create lots of varied flowers.

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets:  Apple Blossoms, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock:  Concord Crush, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush
Accessories:  Pearls
Tools:  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Buttons #5 Sizzlet, Sweet Buttons Embosslit, Boho Blossoms Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack

My final card came from a card demoed on stage at the Orlando Regional that I attended last month.  The square frame is created using a 3x3 piece of card stock that is then punched using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch centered on each side.

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!, unless noted)
Stamp Set:  Create a Cupcake
Card Stock:  Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:  In Color Patterns Pack, Pink Glimmer Paper (non-SU)
Ink:  Regal Rose, VersaMark
Accessories:  Pear Pizzaz Striped Poly Ribbon, Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder
Tools:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Build a Cupcake Punch, Crimper, Small Heart Punch

So happy for your new home purchase...and a little envious! Cannot wait to watch the progress on the stamp studio!

I have no idea what a Fish Hawk is but I love the samples, especially Plane and Simple...that's one set I purchased from the mini and have yet to mount but got it primarily so I would have it for "manly" bday cards for family (DH and DS are both "flyboys") but I may try to squeeze in one more quick card using it at my montly library card class.

Congrats on the new house and what fun to be setting up a brand new home studio....that is awesome! Good luck with selling the villa...I am determined not to drink the koolaid when we are there later this month but keeping my DH under control will be the challenge. See you soon! Jan

Concord Crush, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White may be my new favorite color combination.
I love the impact of the colors .
Can't wait to hear more about your new home.

You're leaving that beautiful patio villa??? Oh, my gosh. I've made cards in that house, gals, and it is gorgeous .... like her cards. Where are you moving to, Carol?

And by the way, a Fish Hawk is a village recreation center where we go to make cards
