Yesterday, our demo group, Birds of Paradise, got together for lunch and a shoebox swap. I had been looking forward to this day for weeks...and I wasn't disappointed.
Daryl was our hostess for the day. She has a beautiful home and made us a fabulous lunch.
Thank you, Daryl, for your hospitality.
The stamping was equally fabulous. We made seven different cards. Posted below are the cards I made that the other demos designed for us.
The first is Gail's card. I love the detailed watercoloring of the leaves.
Next is Sandy's card. She is the newest member of our group and very talented. It is going to be fun having her join us each month. Welcome, Sandy!
Next is Daryl's card. Don't you just love this 3-D Christmas tree? You just might see something very similar at Canal Street today.
This card is from Jan. She is not at our meetings every month since she doesn't live in The Villages full time. But we specifically scheduled this swap for a day when she would be here. Isn't this little piggy just adorable?
Next is Carrie's card. The technique for the center piece is called Spirelli. She taught us how to do this. I loved it and plan to use it on a card for my club members soon.
The last card is Carolyn's card. She is the leader of our group and designed this card to encourage us in our business efforts.
Great day....delicious food, fabulous stamping, wonderful friends. Definitely my kind of day! Thank you everyone.
Check back tomorrow for the card that I designed and took to the swap for everyone to make.
