I Need Some Help

Monday, January 30, 2012  at 9:40 AM
My best friend Lois visited me last weekend and we spent some time stamping on Saturday morning.  We were intrigued by a photo from Leadership that Patty Bennett posted on her blog.  Click HERE and scroll to the third picture.  It's the one with all the little squares punched with the Postage Stamp Punch.  I love this paper from Sale-A-Bration and this is a great way to use it.  So I now have the background all layed out but I just can't decide what embellishments to use.  Here's the base of my card.

Here's where I'd like to have your help.  Please leave a comment and tell me how you would finish this card.  Punched flowers?  Ribbons?  Stamped Image?  Buttons?  What else?

Thanks for helping me out!!

Hello, how 'bout a heart maybe scalloped, ribbon, hat pin and button. Would make it sorta!! vintage. Or, a big flower with button and hat pin.

I really like the hat pin idea. I have some and haven't used them yet. Thanks, Judy!

I love Judy's idea of the hat pin! If you go the flower route, you might want to put one of the new large pearls in the center, with the petals sponged. (Mary Fish suggested coloring the pearl with a sharpie marker......love this card base....so many possibilities!

I'd try a strip of solod-colored, scalloped paper running down near the lefthand side with three buttons marching down the stip. Each button tied with twine or
1/4" ribbon. Or possibly just a bow made around your fingers and held with a brad in the lefthand corner. A small Happy Easter on an oval then on a scalloped oval and placed somewhere else on the card.

I love the idea of a scalloped strip of solid color c/s with some buttons and twine that Aris mentioned. It's beautiful and I can't remember how they finished it at Leadership but it's a pretty busy pattern and you don't want to add too much to it. Although a simple hat pin and maybe a flower probably wouldn't be too much, now would it???

Can't wait to see what you do with it!
