Belated Birthday Wishes for Daryl

Thursday, March 22, 2012  at 8:54 AM
My friend and fellow stamping demo, Daryl, had a birthday on Monday.  I did manage to send her some birthday wishes via email on the actual day of her birthday but I missed getting her card sent to her in time.  However, I'm sneaking away from my tax work later today to brown-bag lunch with her and Carrie in between the Canal Street classes.  So I'll take this card to her today.  It's time for the morning class to begin so I'm safe in posting her card now.

I used some fun new products that will be available for the month of April....Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches designer paper.  What fun, bright colors!  I got the idea for the button flowers from Ann Marie Hile, another Stampin' Up! demo.  I made the matching envelope from the Summer Smooches DSP using the new Diagonal Plate for the Simply Scored Tool.  Wow, how easy was that?

Hope your birthday was fabulous, Daryl.

Let me be the FIRST to comment here......ladies, this is one of the CUTEST cards EVER! The colors, the multiple layers, the clear buttons, the BLING.......I am in Stamp Heaven! And I was the recipient of this wonderful card. How lucky am I to have Carol as my friend? :-)

Hmmm...do you ever wait to give someone their birthday card until after their birthday just so you'll have an excuse to use a belated birthday stamp? :)
