We made this cute card at our Stamping Around club last Tuesday night. I loved the idea. The trees are made from the Ornament Punch and actually pop up a bit from the card. So does the bow.
To make the trees you just punch DSP using the Ornament Punch and fold in the sides. Joyce made this easier for all of us by providing a little template to use. You can make your own template by punching heavier cardboard with the Ornament Punch and cutting off the sides. The backing board from our DSP packs is perfect for this.
Punch your tree out of DSP using the Ornament Punch. Also punch a small piece of Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso using the top of the ornament. Attach this to become the base of the tree.
Now place the template over the punched DSP and fold in the sides.
Attach the tree to your card front using glue dots. Put one glue dot on each folded flap. When you attach it make the front of the tree rounded up. Then insert your bone folder to make sure the glue dots are adhered firmly.
Finish your tree with a punched Champagne Glimmer Paper star for the top.
What a cute idea. Thanks, Joyce, for teaching us to make this card. Hopefully these directions will help you to make this adorable card. If I have time this week I'll try to post a video for these cute little trees.
