We made this Valentine card at one of my January classes. I also taught this card at Stampin' Around, an advanced stamp group that I belong to. Several people asked for the directions and I promised I would post them today. I think I said by 10 o'clock so I'm a little late but at least it's here!
Step 1
Start with a piece of Real Red card stock cut 6" x 11". Score at 5-1/2".
Step 2
Fold on score line and place largest Heart Framelit (scalloped one) just over the folded edge. Leave at least 3 scallops above fold. Run through Big Shot to give you a hinged heart card base.
Step 3
Place opened card base on Simply Scored Tool and score one heart at 2-1/4". Make sure card is flush at the top on both points and the point is flush on the left side. This will ensure that your card is straight.
Step 4
Fold the bottom of the heart in at the score line and add adhesive ONLY to the bottom triangle of the folded heart.
Step 5
Cut another single layer heart from Real Red card stock using the scalloped heart framelit. Line it up on top of the folded heart and adhere the two pieces together. It should now be ready to stand up.
Step 6
Make another stand up heart using the 3rd largest heart. This heart is scored at 1-1/2" from the point.
Step 7
Put adhesive only on the top of the back of the smallest heart. Then insert small heart between the layers of the large heart and adhere.
Step 8
Cut one heart from designer paper (I used First Edition) using the 2nd largest heart framelit. Cut two Basic Black hearts using the 3rd and 4th largest hearts. Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla card stock and cut with 4th largest heart framelit. Cut 2nd smallest heart using Real Red Core'dinations card stock. Emboss and sand. Assemble all onto each of the hearts as shown.
Add a flower from 5/8" Flower Trim sponged with Real Red ink to the largest stand up heart. Punch heart using small heart punch from Silver Glimmer paper. Add to smallest stand up heart.
Step 9
Punch 1/2" circle from Basic Black card stock. Add large rhinestone. Adhere to bottom layer of smallest stand up heart using a Stampin' Dimensional. This will be used to hold up the smallest heart. The largest heart will nest in behind the small heart.
Have fun with this. I also made a more feminie version of the card.
