Using Leftovers

Tuesday, October 30, 2012  at 6:42 AM
I always have leftovers in my frig and my stamp room is no different.  I have a little cubbyhole in the shelving next to my stamp desk.  Whenever I'm working on something and it just doesn't quite work I put the pieces in there for later.  I wanted to post a quick card on my blog this morning so I pulled everything out and here's the stash I found.

This piece caught my eye.

It's left over from a demonstration I did at our demo meeting in August.  I showed different ways to make leaves and then put them on a candle for a fall centerpiece.  This was the finished piece but I had previously made another and put it on the candle.  So this went in the leftover pile...until this morning.

I quickly ran a piece of card stock through the Big Shot with an embossing folder, matted it with another piece of card stock, mounted that onto a card base, added this group of leaves and I was finished.  Voila!!

Update from yesterday's Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular
Thanks to my wonderful customers, I was able to earn a free stamp set from the spring catalog that will be introduced in January.  I so appreciate each order that helped me out.  I'll make sure you get to see lots of inspiration cards from my new set once I get it.  I have to wait until December to order it so it will be a few weeks.  THANKS AGAIN FOR ORDERING!!
