Card Kit Challenge

I created a challenge for myself last night.  I brought a big envelope full of leftover card kits from my Fish Hawk classes with me to Indiana.  I've been thinking about what I'm going to do with them.  So last night I challenged myself to pull one of them out and make a new card with it.  Not just recreate the card from the class but use what was in the envelope along with any other product I wanted to add.  Most of all I just didn't want to throw away what I had already prepped.

Here's what was in the kit I chose.

Here's the card that we made at my class using this kit.

My first thought was to make this with a landscape orientation rather than portrait.  Then I decided to add another color.  I added a scallop punch of color in So Saffron.  It seems to coordinate well with these colors.  Then I used the new Create a Cupcake stamp set and the Build a Cupcake punch that weren't even available back when we made the above card.  So here's my new card using an old kit.

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Set:  Create a Cupcake
Card Stock:  Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink:  Wild Wasabi Classic Ink Pad, VersaMark Stamp Pad
Accessories:  Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Heat & Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Tools:  Scallop Circle Punch, Build a Cupcake Punch, Finial Press Embossing Folder, Two Tags Bigz Die, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Heat Tool

So which is your favorite?  The original card or the newly adapted card?
