Time for Canal Street Again

I guess I didn't do a very good job of keeping up with my blog.  It's time for Canal Street again this week and I haven't posted anything since the last class.  But I have gotten a lot of tax returns finished!!

Even though I'm busy working and won't be teaching at the class I still wanted to be a part of it.  So Carrie asked me if I still wanted to make the door prizes.  I love doing this so I said yes.  She made it easy for me by sending me a link to the cutest little clutch purse she saw on Stampin' Connection, which is the demo only gallery available to us.  This purse was designed by demo Carol Lovenstein.  I searched everywhere to see if she had a blog or any instructions.  No luck.  So through trial and error I created another one myself.  It turned out adorable and will be so cute to stick a gift card inside for one of my sisters' birthdays.

This was made using the new Labels Framelits along with the new Blossom Punch and some other circle punches.  The biggest challenge for me was the diagonal scoring.  However, that technique is about to get much simpler.  Stampin' Up! has a new accessory for the Simply Scored Tool that will be available on March 1.  It's the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  Wow, I could have used that last week when I was making this purse.

So these little purses quickly became an obsession with me.  Whenever I needed a break I was crafting some little paper purse last week.  I have four more to show you so check back in the next few days.  As soon as I get some photos taken I'll share them with you.

To all of you attending the classes at Canal Street on Thursday...I will miss you.  I hope whoever wins the little gift card purse enjoys it.  If you want to try making one of your own I'd be glad to give you some help.

how adorable is that little purse! I can see why you are looking forward to preordering the diagonal score board after seeing this little purse. I will have to try making one too...not sure I have enough "bling" to do this project for stamp club but I know they would all adore it!
