One of the organized swaps that I'm participating in at convention is a Faux Quilt Card Swap. My friend Jan Hoyt is the organizer and swap host for this so I really wanted to join in the fun.
When I was a little girl we had an appliqued tulip quilt on the bed in our guest room. That quilt was made by my mom's grandma. A few years ago my mom gave that quilt to my daughter for Christmas. That quilt became the inspiration for my swap card. The colors of my mom's quilt were different than the color in my card and her quilt had a basket with tulips. But I knew from remembering this quilt from my childhood that I wanted to incorporate tulips into my faux quilt card.
