New Wall Decor

My friend, Jen, just finished a cute and easy project for wall decor in her living room.  I had some DSP that is the perfect match to the decor at Leah's house so I decided to give it a go.

This is so easy.  Just some canvases from the craft store, Mod Podge, foam brush, Designer Series Paper, and a sanding block.  Stampin' Up! paper is great for this project because you get coordinating papers in each pack.  For this project I used the Elegant Soiree papers.  They have so many of the colors that are popular in home decor today and were just perfect for Leah's new TV room.

I started with four 12x12 canvases.

Then I selected four sheets of Designer Series Paper.

Using a foam brush, apply Mod Podge over entire front surface of the canvas.

Then add the DSP to the top and smooth it out.

I let them dry overnight and then sanded the edges smooth.  Add a hanger and they are ready to go.  Thanks for the inspiration Jen.  I'm very happy with the finished product.

Check back tomorrow for some other wall decor that we added in Leah's newly remodeled master bedroom.
