Advanced Stampers Group

Wednesday, May 19, 2010  at 7:26 AM
Our Advanced Stampers Group met at Seabreeze Rec Center again last Friday afternoon. Our group is slowing growing. We had seven new people attend this time. I demonstrated the Floating Reinker Technique for the Butterfly Pansies. We all had lots of fun making these. Then Carolyn and Lori set out lots of supplies for everyone to make Card Candy to take home.

Remember the card kits that I passed out for the challenge? A few of the women brought their completed cards for the group to see. Aren't they great? I love how different the cards are with everyone using the same papers and ribbon. That's what is so great about paper crafting--everyone's creations are a reflection of them. Some of the new people took the kits home this time so I should have more to show later.

Our next meeting is Friday, May 28 at 1:00pm at Seabreeze. Shirley will be showing us how to make the beautiful envelopes from calendars that I posted about HERE. And we'll also learn to make a really neat Lattice-Fold embellishment for our cards. (Diane's card--center back in above photo--features this technique.)

Here's a shot of the beautiful room that we meet in. Lots of room and lots of light. If you're an experience card maker living in The Villages come and join us for our next meeting.
