Today I'll show you how I store my paper. I've always stored my 8-1/2" x 11" card stock in hanging folders. I used to keep them in file crates on top of a table. But when I had the shelving put in my stamping closet I had them build me file drawers for my paper. (This is really a better solution as it keeps light away from the card stock so there's so risk of fading.)
Each color of card stock is stored in it's own hanging folder. They are grouped together by the Stampin' Up! color families (Brights, Regals, Subtles, and Neutrals). I put full sheets in the back and all my scraps in the front. This way I can look for the smallest piece I need and then if needed cut a full sheet. I know some people store their scraps separately but this just seems to work best for me.
My biggest problem with paper storage used to be what to do with my 12" x 12" designer series paper. I finally decided to cut it all down to 6" x 6". I always just use it as an accent on my cards and never use any pieces bigger than that. Now I can store them in the hanging folders with my card stock. I cut a section of the cardboard backing for the paper that shows the name. Then I write on it the card stock colors that coordinate.
Next week I'll show you how I organize my ink pads.

Deck wants to know if you have them alphabetical or do you follow the hues of the rainbow in your filing system ?
I mean really Carol - even he is impressed with your organization - so I now have something additional to strive for in life and my art room! Does SU give out awards for most brand devoted stamper? You would be on the running for sure! Great job.
I actually have them sorted in the order of the SU catalog, which for the most part is by hue. See, I really am obsessed with Stampin' Up!
