Embossed Leaves from Butternut Sage

One of the cards from my stamp clubs this month was CASE'd from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  This card was from Donna at Butternut Sage Designs.  You can see her card HERE.  And then there's my version.

I didn't watch her video of how she made this card.  I just came up with my own technique for the embossed leaves.

I started by die-cutting one of the leaves from the Leaves #2 die.  I cut three of these from the cardboard backing that comes from our Designer Series Paper.

I adhered all three of these together and glued them on another piece of cardboard backing.

This became my homemade embossing plate.  Here's the sandwich that I used in the Big Shot.
