Thank You to Laurel Manor Quilters

Last Tuesday morning I took my sisters that were visiting to a quilt club meeting at Laurel Manor.  What a wonderful group of women.  They made us feel so welcome.  My sister Kay is a quilter and wanted to see what the quilting groups do here in The Villages.  This group had a show and tell session and then a demo.  The demo used a Double Diamond template.  I've used a similar template to make cards but it was printed on paper and once you used it you threw it away.  They were using a plastic template.  They told us about a quilt shop in Leesburg that was going out of business so we drove to Leesburg in the afternoon and found this template on sale.  The great thing was that it came with two templates - a small and a large.  My sister wanted the large for quilting and I wanted the small for card making so we split the package.
